Abstract

The aim of the research was to study lipid release and protein-synthesizing activity of leukocytes among patients with atherosclerosis of various localization. To meet this goal the dynamics in the group of patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD) and obliterating atherosclerosis of lower extremities vessels (OALEV) was observed. With patients of the examined groups lipid release leukocyte ability (LRLA) was investigated by the method of V.Y. Mishlanov and A.V. Tuev, and also by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) concentration in serum and leukocyte supernatant of lipoprotein a (LPa), C-reactive protein (CRP), defensins, brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), VII factor coagulation, Von Willebrand factor (WB) was studied. In all the groups and subgroups in focus LRLA was significantly higher than among healthy persons. A general distinction of survey groups from healthy persons was a high content of CRP leukocyte cultures and VII factor bleeding in supernatants. In addition, in the group of patients with coronary artery disease there was a large concentration of leukocyte cultures WB, proBNP and defensins in supernatants, while with OALEV patients - Lpa was noted. Thus, LRLA and protein synthesis ability of leukocytes appear to become genetically predisposed mechanisms determining the specificity and activity of the atherogenesis process.
