Abstract

The results of using K-Mg ore processing wastes as long-life fertilizers after high-temperature roasting are presented. The results of laboratory and field tests of the effectiveness of the action of these fertilizers (hereinafter cinder) with a different temperature of roasting on cereals and potatoes are shown. The use of cinders as fertilizers ensured the formation of yields of spring wheat, barley and potatoes at the level of standard fertilizer - potassium chloride. The increment of spring wheat yield in comparison with the control was 1.42-1.78, with a background of 0.23-0.28, barley 1.30- 2.02; 0,34-0,47 and potatoes 1,44-4,58; 0.54-3.15, respectively. Quality indicators of products (grain, straw from cereals, tubers from potatoes) were also at the level of the application of a standard fertilizer. The conclusion is made about obtaining the maximum effect when using cinders with a firing temperature of 900ºС.
