Abstract

The analysis of endothelial dysfunction markers and the results of skin thermometry among women with obesity has been held. The study included 47 postmenopausal women and 21 fertile women, 15 women with normal body weight were studied as the comparison group. To evaluate the response of microvascular tone, the method of wavelet analysis of skin temperature fluctuations was used. The increase of endothelin-1, endothelial vessel growth factor and the amount of endothelial cells testified endothelial dysfunction. The results obtained by the method of skin thermometry showed the stated deviation of vasodilatory mechanisms of vascular tone regulation among women with obesity. Body weight loss and the use of hormone replacement therapy led to the data improvement.
