Abstract

The work was devoted to the experimental research and mathematical modeling of structural features of the carbonized layer on the polymer implant surface. Such a layer is created by ion- plasma treatment to ensure the biocompatibility of an implant with body tissues. One of the project objectives was to analyze the geometric features of the created surface. The dependence of the ion energy, by which the polymeric material surface was treated, on the amplitude and frequency of waves on the surface was established. Three types of cracks appearing in the carbonized layer were detected.
