Abstract

This article deals with the process of adaptation of the chrononym “Trinity” to the phonetic system of the Komi-Perm language. Various phonetic changes that occurred with the chrononym in the process of borrowing are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to identifying patterns of transformation of the original term in new linguistic conditions and discussing the reasons for these changes. As a result of the study, several variants of the phonetic design of the chrononym “Trinity” reflecting the specificity of interaction between the Russian and Komi-Perm languages are identified.
