Expeditions to identify and record objects of intangible ethnocultural heritage of the peoples of Russia in 2023

The article discusses key issues of working with objects of intangible ethnocultural heritage of the peoples of Russia, related to both the identification and presentation of data obtained during expeditionary research in the Udmurt Republic, Kirov, Murmansk, Orenburg regions, and the TransBaikal Territory. The problems of field collection of material, principles of its storage and subsequent use are highlighted. Some peculiarities of expedition work are outlined: taking into account calendar and event timing, seasonality; technical difficulties of surveying objects caused by both features of cultural phenomena and external factors; appropriateness of using reconstruction and staged photography; traits related to going beyond the subject matter of expeditions and others.
