Iteration method and equilibrium stability of an elastic-plastic component in construction under soft tension-torsion loading

Abstract
The tension-torsion loading of a hollow cylinder construction component made of elastic-plastic material with the strain softening effect is considered in a special rod system. The existence of a stress potential and the correctness of the incremental plasticity law are assumed. An iteration procedure for determination of the equilibrium parameters of the system is written by performing the convergence analysis. It is established that the iteration divergence corresponds to the system deformation stability loss.
